This pure silk 25mm (1") bias ribbon in a range of colours is ideal for wedding invitations, place cards, vow books and bouquet streamers and creates an elegant finishing touch to any package.

Sold by the metre, the featherlight chiffon (6 momme, 23g sq.m) is imported from Germany and dyed in Italy by DHG to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Please note that a bias cut ribbon always has splices along its length, and these occur at approximately 2.5m intervals. This is not a defect and you should expect your ribbon length to have splices, even if you order only one metre of a colour. There is an image in the gallery which shows a splice.

The bias cut gives superb drape and a slight stretch. The edge of the ribbon is not bound, and there may be some feathering along the edge caused by the cutting process.

A few things you should know before you purchase …

* The actual colour of the ribbon may vary from that shown on your monitor;

* I will always endeavour to supply the ribbon as a continuous length, up to a maximum of 17m. However, continuity is not always possible for orders between 12m and 17m, which may be supplied as two lengths;

* Silk is a natural fibre, and there may be small imperfections in the weave.
