Extra fine baby camel roving (≈18 micron) roving/top in natural brown.

Baby camel fibre has a short staple (around 4cm).  Laid out delicately it will produce a thin dense felt with a flexible handle and soft sheen.  It will strongly bond to fine silk and is ideal for nuno felting.  It does not shrink at the same rate as merino, so gives a curled effect when used as a top dressing.  If a pinch of fibre is finger twisted before being laid on top of merino, it will form a distinctly crinkled line with curly ends.

Available in 50g individually labelled packs, the fibre will be supplied in a continuous length and pulled, not cut, to prevent damage to the staple.  The roving/tops weight averages 18g/m, the length 2.5 metres per 50g.
