Shell | DHG Corriedale Roving | 50g
- Description
Corriedale is an all-purpose wool that is suitable for needle felting, wet felting and spinning. The ribbon is smooth and flat with a long staple (around 8cm).
The fibre (≈27 micron, 55s on the Bradford Scale) has more 'bite' than finer fibres such as merino, and this makes it ideal as core wool for needle felting or when making wet felted vessels.
The Corriedale is sourced from New Zealand flocks and processed and dyed in Italy by DHG to Oeko-Tex standards.
The fibre will be supplied in a continuous length with each colour in an individually labelled pack. The ribbon will be pulled, not cut, to prevent damage to the staple and all colours are repeatable while stock is available.
The tops weight averages 23g/m and the ribbon length of a 50g pack is 2 metres.
